History - 1999

Continuing in BYBA's Premier Division for the sixth consecutive year, The Cavaliers played a full complement of band contests featuring their 1999 show of motion picture music hits.

The Cavaliers entertained the public at local events in and around Basingstoke, as well as being asked to make a return visit to Thorpe Park entertainment complex. The band continued to extend their musical repertoire which showcased the full range of imstrumentation that the young musicians play.

In October, the Cavaliers' competition performance won them a position in the BYBA National Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

The following month, the Cavaliers could once again be glimpsed on BBC Television, marching in the Lord Mayor's Show.

Once again displaying their talents, the year was rounded off with the band playing Christmas Carols for shoppers at a local supermarket.
