| Young people from
all parts of Basingstoke and all backgrounds join the Corps
through the recommendations of their friends or just from
seeing the Cavaliers in action.
Membership provides the opportunity to learn to play an instrument
(if not already a musician), self-discipline, social skills
and being part of a very successful team, whilst enjoying
the chances to make new friends and have a social life away
from school or work, all with a competitive spirit.
Any young people (9 - 21 years) who would like to play an
instrument or join the Colourguard (where you can learn dance
and be taught the handling techniques of intricate flag work)
should contact the Corps Director, or come along to Fort
Hill Community School, Winklebury, Basingstoke on a Wednesday
evening (7pm to 9pm). |
